Environmental protection and sustainable development are at the core of European and national policies and legislation, such as the European Green Deal, Regulation (EU) 2021/1119 establishing the framework for achieving climate neutrality ("European Climate Law"), and Luxembourg’s PNDD (Plan National pour un développement durable). International standards – in particular the ISO 14000 series – provide organizations with practical tools to more easily align with these political and legal frameworks, and to help demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability. This session provides an overview of European and national political and legal frameworks related to environmental management, introduces relevant ISO standards, and explains how stakeholders can engage in related standardization activities.
A certificate of participation issued by ILNAS, a recognized training organization, will be provided at the end of the course.
