Energy efficiency and management are central pillars of the European Green Deal, the EU Energy Efficiency Directive, and Luxembourg’s Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC). International and European standards, such as the ISO 50000 series or the EN 16247 series, provide organizations with practical tools to implement systematic energy management, supporting continuous energy performance improvements, reductions of energy cost and of greenhouse gas emissions, and compliance with EU and national objectives. This session provides a strategic overview of European and national policy and legal frameworks related to energy efficiency and management, introduces relevant European and international standards, and explains how stakeholders can engage in related standardization activities.
A certificate of participation issued by ILNAS, a recognized training organization, will be provided at the end of the course.
