The project seeks to improve the digital competences of seniors, strengthen their autonomy, and promote more active participation in today's digital society. Silver Screen is based on a simple idea: many older adults want to use technology more confidently, but they need clear, practical and accessible learning materials. For this reason, the project is developing resources that can be used both by adult educators and by older adults themselves through self-learning pathways. One of the main project results will be the creation of 24 Open Educational Resources (OERs), organised by different levels and topics. These materials will support progressive learning and allow each person to advance according to their starting point. In addition, the project foresees a self-assessment tool to help identify each learner's digital competence level and recommend the most suitable resources. The project also gives special attention to the role of adult educators. The materials will not only serve as training content, but also as a practical guide to prepare and deliver face-to-face workshops with older adults. In this way, Silver Screen aims to offer useful, flexible and easy-to-apply resources in different educational contexts. The project website will be the main access point for the materials, with differentiated spaces for educators and older adult learners. This will make the resources easier to access and will contribute to their open use and sustainability beyond the project lifetime. Silver Screen is implemented by a European partnership involving organisations from six countries: Fundación Pascual Tomás from Spain, REINTEGRA, z.s. from Czechia, Acumen Training Sp. z o.o. from Poland, Unofficial Media and Training Limited from Ireland, FREE-ED CENTER S.R.L. from Romania, and the Municipality of Lousada from Portugal. This international cooperation allows the project to develop resources and activities adapted to different European contexts, while promoting the exchange of experience in adult education, digital inclusion and active ageing.
