Road Freight Programme

This training will give you the necessary knowledge of the legal basis for planning a road freight transport. Teaching is based on real existing transport operations. You will learn the social regulation, the different vehicle types and weight and how to manage contractual relationship and CMR.

Road Freight Transport: social regulation (EG 561/2006)

• Which vehicles and types of transport are subject to this regulation? For which types of vehicles and transport are there general exceptions?
• Obligations of the vehicle operator and the driver
• Prescribed driving and rest times and possible legal exceptions
• Practical examples for calculating transport

Road Freight Transport: vehicle types and weight (EG 2018/858 and EG 96/53)

• Classification of vehicles in freight and passenger transport
• Standard vehicles in freight transport, applications
• Special vehicles in freight transport, applications
• Technical regulations on dimensions, weights and axle loads in accordance with European legislation

Road Freight Transport: contractual relationship and CMR

• Contractual relationships in freight transport
• Incoterms
• Carrier liability under the CMR Convention
• Exclusions of liability under the CMR Convention
• Calculation of damages with calculation examples

At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by the House of Training.
