1. Gaining an appreciation of the strategic importance of operations and supply chain management in a global business environment.Understand how operations relates to other business functions.2. Being able to describe the impact of operations and supply chain management on other functions within a firm, as well as on the competitive position of the firm. Being aware of the global nature of operations and the complexity of supply chains.3. Developing a working knowledge of the concepts and methods related to designing and managing operations and to create value along the supply chain. The online delivery blends synchronous and asynchronous components. Students complete self-directed assignments hosted on the course platform. Weekly Forums support a required active, rubric-based student contributions that foster collaboration.
Exams may include essays, short answers, or MCQs. Formats include open/closed book. Time zones are considered. Assessments are formative and summative. Students have 2 weeks to review grades and must follow the appeal process in the Student Handbook.
