Beyond the specific details of each case, the conference will also strive to identify general legal trends as well as potential directions for the future evolution of the Court’s case law.

Inhalt

The European Institute of Public Administration in Luxembourg (EIPA Luxembourg) has organised this event every year for more than two decades. This annual conference reviews and comments on a selected number of judicial decisions issued by the Court of Justice of the European Union during the past 12 months. These judicial decisions are regarded as significant because:

  • they offer a first-time interpretation of certain EU legal instruments;
  • they offer a new meaning to existing legal rules;
  • they adapt or re-examine past jurisprudence.

Behandelte Themen

You will gain insight into key rulings of the Court of Justice of the EU from the past year. You will learn how recent decisions interpret or reshape EU law, identify broader legal trends, and explore their impact on EU legal development and policy implementation.

The various sessions proposed by the conference will be conducted by experts providing presentations on key topics. All sessions will be followed by Q&A sessions allowing for the exchange of ideas, and discussion time where participants will have the opportunity to share professional experiences.
