Why this training?

Workplace harassment is an increasingly pressing issue, particularly since the 2023 reform. Employers are not only required to comply with their legal obligations but must also take concrete action to protect their employees and limit their liability.

This hands-on training is based on real-life case studies and practical exercises. It combines a review of legal obligations with operational tools to help you prevent, detect, and effectively manage situations of workplace harassment.

Contenu

Learning objectives:
  • Clarify the key concepts: moral harassment, sexual harassment, and related behaviors
  • Master the legal framework, especially the changes introduced by the 2023 reform
  • Identify the impacts of harassment on the victim, the team, and the organization
  • Implement preventive measures and appropriate workplace policies
  • Recognize warning signs and distinguish harassment from other workplace conflicts
  • Conduct internal investigations in compliance with legal requirements while avoiding common pitfalls
  • Understand the role of staff representatives and competent authorities
  • Adopt the right response: protect victims and witnesses, sanction the perpetrator

Noémie Haller is Counsel in the Employment Law, Pensions & Benefits and Business Crime departments at Arendt & Medernach.

A specialist in employment law and social security, she advises and represents employers on matters relating to employment contracts, remuneration, harassment, whistleblowing, restructurings, and employment litigation.

A member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2012, Noémie holds a Master’s degree in Cross-border Business Law (University of Lorraine) and an LL.M. in German Law (University of Trier).

She is also a member of the Employment Law Specialists Association in Luxembourg.

Jean-Luc Putz is a Partner in the Business Crime and Employment Law, Pensions & Benefits departments at Arendt & Medernach.

A specialist in criminal law, he focuses on cybercrime, financial and corporate crime, money laundering, and corruption. He assists clients in managing criminal risks, supports them at all stages of criminal proceedings, and represents them in the recovery of fraud proceeds.

Jean-Luc also has extensive expertise in employment law, both individual and collective.

Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2002, he served as a magistrate for 15 years. He holds a Master’s degree in French and German Law (University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) and an LL.M. from the University of Cologne.

He is a member of several professional associations and contributes to various legal journals, particularly in criminal law and employment law.
