This module marks the beginning of the process of structuring and professionalising the procurement function within the organisation. It provides participants with an understanding of the strategic and operational challenges associated with procurement. Participants will learn how to analyse, prioritise and formalise internal business needs. The approach combines proven methodologies, practical tools and best practices to support effective procurement activities. More than just a technical training course, this module offers a cross-functional perspective that fosters stronger collaboration with internal stakeholders.
This module is part of the Developing Procurement Expertise in 5 Steps learning pathway.

  • Produce an effective specification: structure requirements using the MoSCoW method (Must, Should, Could, Won't) and define clear deliverables and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
