Who is organizing this training?

Established in 2003, the Centre de Médiation Civile et Commerciale (CMCC) is the international full-service mediation provider for civil and commercial disputes in the heart of Europe (Luxembourg). The founding members of the CMCC (Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Crafts, Bar Association and the Medical Association) put initially the focus on developing mediation as the main alternative dispute resolution method in Luxembourg. Today, with the additional support of the Luxembourgish Ministry of Justice, the CMCC became an one-stop-shop for mediation services (mediations, trainings, conflict consultancy and prevention) and further alternative dispute resolution services like neutral evaluation and arbitration (in cooperation with the Arbitration Center). Who is the training for?

Employees, executives and managers in private companies and public institutions
in the banking, legal, construction, medical and business consultancy sectors
Project managers faced with the challenge of restructuring, human resources, entrepreneurs, the self-employed, lawyers, architects, doctors, and those who face communicative challenges in their professional lives.

Goals

Mediation is a conflict resolution process and at the same time a technique for preventing conflict and facilitating all types of communication. Depending on individual objectives and the number and nature of modules chosen, this modular basic course aims to:

broaden communication and negotiation skills and/or
Familiarise themselves with the tools used by a professional mediator and apply them in practice to any type of communicative challenge and/or
Acquire the initial basic skills needed to practise as a mediator in compliance with the minimum 150 hours of training required, among other things, for accreditation by the Centre de Médiation Civile et Commerciale (CMCC), the Ministry of Justice and the Association luxembourgeoise de la médiation et des médiateurs agréés (ALMA).

Certificate, diploma

At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance issued by the CMCC.
