Information security awareness

This course is intended to be followed by any person using technologies and the internet on a daily basis.
No specific IT technical knowledge required.

The last years have seen a huge increase in the use of technologies in both professional and private life. Digitisation has impacted many aspects of our lives and the way we use services (e-mails, e-banking, entertainment, digital information management, etc.).

This always growing digital landscape has become a vast playground for cyber criminals and many people are still not aware of the associated risks and which best practices to adopt.

Our engagement is to provide an interesting and comprehensive one-day training on information security awareness.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• explain what information security is and the challenges faced by companies and individuals nowadays;
• adopt best practices in the daily use of technologies and the internet;
• identify risky situations and respond appropriately;
• spread awareness acquired to colleagues and other people.

The philosophy we want to convey is:

• Wait before acting
• Think about the impacts
• Discuss situations and get informed

• Information security principles
• Passwords
• Malwares
• Social engineering and scams: spam, phishing, vishing, etc
• Internet and the social networks
• Devices protection and physical security
• Information classification
• Professional vs non-professional behaviour
• Legal aspects
