Prerequisites

  • Hold a diploma in security and safety, and own a dog of a non-dangerous breed, authorized for biting work, and at least 12 months old at the time of entry into training school.
  • The dog must be up to date with vaccinations, electronically identified, and declared in accordance with the law of May 9, 2008.
  • The dog must have mastered basic obedience (heel walking on and off leash, obeying sit and down commands, recall, and stable behavior when the handler is absent for at least 30 seconds).

    • Know how to deal with risks within the scope of your duties
    • Intervene to assist people
    • Manage conflict situations with the use and control of your dog
  • Know how to identify the animal's behavior during a detection
  • Possess the expected level of obedience and control your animal when intervening on an individual, within the regulatory framework
  • Be able to identify your dog's basic needs, health, hygiene, and psychological stability, in order to respect the animal's well-being
