New Lean Six Sigma Training Courses
Pierre-Olivier Portmann Service Management Consulting - 22/02/2021
Lean and Six Sigma are two of the most valuable management strategies. Using different tools, they share similar goals. While Lean focuses on the speed with which a product /service is delivered, by identifying and eliminating steps that do not add value to customers, Six Sigma is mainly aimed at identifying and eliminating defects by minimizing variability.
Both Lean and Six Sigma are great management strategies and drive excellent and proven results.
Thanks to our partnership with the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (ILSSI), we offer Lean Six Sigma training on several levels:
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
This 2-day course is designed for a professional who requires an understanding of the basics of the Lean Six Sigma Methodology and who supports process improvement projects as a part of a team. The use of interactive games and class practical exercises helps students to experience the principles, tools and techniques for themselves. The ILSSI certification exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
This 5-day course trains managers and workers how to use Lean Six Sigma methods, tools and techniques to improve their business processes. The course also coaches the delegates how to lead small to medium sized process improvement projects using the DMAIC framework. The ILSSI certification exam is a 3-hour 100 questions proctored exam.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
This 8-day course is designed for professionals who want to go to the top level of understanding, application and certification. The certified Black Belt will also have the statistical analysis tools to be able to take data-driven strategic decisions, project selection and change management at an enterprise level. The ILSSI exam is a 4-hour 150 multi-choice questions exam which is taken on the final day.
The certification roadmap
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training is the first step in learning and applying Six Sigma tools.
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training provides a deeper understanding of the Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques by focusing on the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). You will follow a 5-day interactive training session with a certification exam, or if you already hold the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate, a complementary 3-day session will lead you to the Green Belt Certification certificate.
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt trainings covers some of the same areas of knowledge as Green Belt trainings; however, they require a superior level of skill and understanding, which will be provided to you through a complementary 3-day session. If you do not hold the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate, then you will have to follow the full 8-day training session.
