This fully online certificate EQF Level 6 program equips students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in Robotics, Autonomous Systems & Intelligent Drone Technologies and provides a coherent pathway into the design, operation, and governance of modern autonomous platforms. The program serves prospective instructors, students, and professionals who wish to develop a strong foundation in robotics, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), sensor-rich platforms, and swarm intelligence.Robotics is treated as the foundational discipline, introducing core concepts such as automated actuation, control, perception, and intelligent behavior. Building on this base, the program scrutinises drones as a prominent class of aerial robots, examining their hardware, software, and coordinated deployment in real-world environments. The two-year curriculum (three terms per year) culminates in a capstone project, where students tackle a complete robotics challenge, integrating perception, control, and decision-making.
The EBU certificate is designed to:
1. CRO100 Introduction to Robotics and Autonomous Systems Foundations2. CRO101 Drone Technology and Operational Context3. CRO102 Autonomous Flight and Mission Logic4. CRO200 Principles of Robot Autonomy I5. CRO201 Principles of Robot Autonomy II6. CRO202 Swarm Coordination and Distributed Robotic Control7. CRO300 AI, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity for Autonomous Systems8. CRO301 Futures and Quantum-Enhanced Autonomous Systems9. CRO302 Capstone Project in Robotics Control and Perception
The online delivery blends synchronous and asynchronous components. Students complete self-directed assignments hosted on the course platform. Weekly Forums support a required active, rubric-based student contributions that foster collaboration.
Exams may include essays, short answers, or MCQs. Formats include open/closed book. Time zones are considered. Assessments are formative and summative. Students have 2 weeks to review grades and must follow the appeal process in the Student Handbook.
