Prerequisites

Successful completion of the modules "General accounting: current operations" (C2001) and "General accounting: year-end operations" (C2003) or proof of equivalent certified knowledge.

Goals

  • Discover IFRS standards through examples.
  • Learn how to present financial statements and other information required by IFRS standards.
  • Understand the different measurement methods for balance sheet items.
  • Be able to identify the main differences between IFRS standards and traditional Luxembourg accounting principles.
  • Be able to apply the main IFRS standards in practice.
  • Be able to assess the accounting impacts of converting accounts to IFRS.
