Leadership is clearly the “cool” side of management. It’s about challenging the status quo, creating a vision, empowering others, leading by example, as well as motivating&inspiring - real hero stuff, right? In this seminar, we’ll look at leadership through the lens of short scenes from popular movies, and question some of the stereotypes and clichés about what a leader does (or should do).
Instead of working through a long list of models and theory, participants get to watch and evaluate a collection of movie scenes that illustrate different leadership behaviors. Together they identify the leadership qualities and behaviors displayed, decide how realistic the scenes are, and discuss takeaways and implications for their own context.
Theory comes alive with the movie characters, and participants get emotionally involved in concrete leadership scenarios.
