Drawing class - Capturing life: Drawing the zoological and botanical world - Tous les niveaux (AR-DESS-49)

Tout adulte souhaitant développer ses compétences

Pencils (B, 2B, 4B), pencil sharpener, eraser, coloured pencils, black fineliner, loose drawing paper or a drawing pad (A5, A4, A3 or larger - any format is welcome). Any other drawing tools are welcome according to personal preference.

Students will work on guided assignments as well as personal projects inspired by images and reference materials from the animal and plant world. The course encourages an explanatory and expressive approach to drawing, focusing less on technical perfection than on developing observation, visual sensitivity and an individual artistic language. Through experimentation, students will investigate how formal elements such as line, texture, composition, contrats and mark-making contribute to the character and expressive qualities of a drawing. Attention will also be given to analysing what gives drawings presence, atmosphere, rhythm an emotional impact. The course will allow individuals to explore different ideas and drawing techniques while focusing their attention on the present moment to promote mindfulness and mental well-being. Short group discussions on the creative process are encouraged for those interested in sharing ideas and reflections with others.
