The Commission celebrates the 20th anniversary of Europass, a free and secure online platform available in 31 languages that supports people throughout their professional journeys, from first jobs to new challenges abroad. With over 8.5 million registered users, Europass helps people: build CVs explore job and learning opportunities assess their digital skills make informed career decisions As four in five SMEs struggle to find talent, Europass provides essential tools for identifying in-demand skills and accessing jobs and skills training. Embracing innovation, the platform uses artificial intelligence to deliver personalised services and match skills to jobs. Europass is also designed to be accessible to everyone including persons with disabilities and people with limited digital experience. Background Investing in people, recognising their skills, and attracting talent across Europe are key pillars of the Union of Skills, adopted in March 2025. Revamped in 2020 as the first action of the European Skills Agenda, Europass is supported by national centres in over 30 countries. Looking ahead, the Commission plans to develop Europass tools as the standard for presenting job and learning profiles throughout the EU, as well as create stronger synergies with other EU job mobility portals such as EURES and Euraxess.
