Goals

Sustainable finance, as defined by the European Commission, is 'the provision of financing to investments taking into consideration Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations.'

It is not merely a regulatory requirement but rather an increasingly demand-driven business opportunity. Risk is also a common driver that pushes financial institutions to invest responsibly, alongside other factors such as market trends and the willingness to create new fields of income.

The purpose of this e-learning is to provide you and your teams with a clear baseline regarding ESG and sustainable finance, so as to be fully aware of the related impacts on your business and be ready to take appropriate action.

Contents

  • Sustainable finance: why, what, who, when and how?
  • ESG, sustainable finance: what is this? Why such a focus today?
  • What are the business areas impacted by current and upcoming regulation?
  • From ESG to sustainable finance: how the sustainable finance action plan will transform the financial sector, accelerate the systematic consideration of ESG risks across the financial sector, boost the demand for sustainable products, impact strategy, products and distribution processes and operations (including data governance, transparency and reporting and risk management)?
