Occupational mobility

Last update : 11.08.2023

Generalities

In an international environment like ours, people who already have professional experience from abroad, knowing about different culture and speaking several languages, have a professional advantage.

For employers, Europe provides access to a wealth of talent ready to be invested in new professional challenges.

Programmes

Discover the programme that the European Commission has put in place to promote European mobility amongst workers.

  • Work in Luxembourg
The career platform work-in-luxembourg.lu features job offers in sectors for which it is difficult to find suitable candidates on the national labour market.
  • EURES – Your job in Europe
EURES helps jobseekers to find attractive jobs and employers to recruit new staff from all over Europe.
  • JOBS4SOLIDARITY - Corps européen de solidarité
The "Jobs4Solidarity" project, led by ADEM, helps young jobseekers up to the age of 30 to work in solidarity-based jobs, mainly on a cross-border basis, but also at national level.
  • Euraxess – Researchers in Motion
As an initiative of the European Commission launched in 2004, the EURAXESS network is composed of more than 200 service centres in 40 countries. Its purpose is to support researchers in their free movement, whether they are nationals of the European Union or third countries.
