Occupational mobility

Last update : 14.03.2024

General information

In an international world like ours, anyone who already has professional experience abroad working with different cultures, and who is proficient in several languages, is certainly a professional asset to their employer.

For employers, Europe provides access to a multitude of talented people who are ready to commit to new professional challenges.

Programmes

The European Commission has put programmes in place to facilitate mobility within Europe for workers.

  • Work in Luxembourg
The work-in-luxembourg.lu recruitment platform provides access to job offers in sectors for which it is difficult to find suitable candidates on the national employment market.
  • EURES – Your Job in Europe
EURES helps job seekers in their search for attractive jobs, as well as employers to find interesting profiles throughout Europe.
The national Employment Ageny (ADEM) is responsible for coordinating and providing EURES services in Luxembourg.
  • Euraxess – Researchers in Motion
The EURAXESS network consists of over 200 service centres in 40 countries. It is committed to supporting researchers who are relocating, whether they originate from countries within the European Union or third countries. Euraxess Luxembourg provides information and assistance to researchers who are relocating. All of the services provided by the EURAXESS network are free.
  • atWork4NEETs
A project that aims to encourage innovation within the partner regions’ policies, by improving the efficiency of programming tools, financed by the Structural Funds, in order to support the integration of groups who are at a disadvantage in the job market, in particular "NEETs", young people who are out of work, are not actively studying or on a training course, i.e. "Not in Employment, Education or Training" - (NEETs). www.interregeurope.eu/atwork4neets
