Goals

In a constantly changing legal and regulatory environment, PwC's Academy along with the experts has designed this course to help you understand the fundamentals of the regulatory frameworks of the UCITS and AIFM directives and how these EU-wide regulations have shaped the fund industry and the way asset managers utilise them to market and distribute their products around the globe.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • describe the basic elements and benefits of the UCITS and AIFM regulations;
  • understand the passporting approach of both directives, and how asset managers offer their funds in multiple jurisdictions;
  • identify the various entities involved in the fund distribution lifecycle;
  • understand how Luxembourg evolved as a fund powerhouse and it's global positioning.

The training will be presented by experts in the regulatory and operational aspects of fund distribution, for both traditional and alternative funds.
