The Luxembourg patent system is simple and inexpensive. Patents, which can be filed in English, French or German, are granted after a short period (between 5 and 18 months from priority date). The search report (established by the European patent office) is of high quality.
This makes Luxembourg a very attractive country for first filing and a select gateway to IP in Europe.
