This introductory Islamic banking and Waqf Training program are designed to teach delegates the principles of Islamic Banking, finance and Waqf (Islamic Endowment). It explores the different products and services of the Islamic banking industry and provides insights into the world of Waqf studies. By the end of the course, the delegates will have a full understanding of Islamic Finance industry, the concept and application of Waqf, and the principles involved in the alternative Banking system and how they differ from the traditional one.

Additional information

Each lecture will last approximately one and half hour and taught by Dr. Mohammad Abdullah (PhD, CSAA) (specialisation in Islamic Finance and Waqf Endowment Management Studies).

Dr. Abdullah is a reputed Shariah Scholar and an established Researcher. He enjoys a blend of Academic and Professional Experience in Islamic Finance, Shariah Advisory, Shariah Training and Islamic Social Finance. He is an Expert in Waqf Studies. Abdullah is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) from AAOIFI.

Dr Abdullah has presented his papers in different International Conferences across American, European and Asian countries including Germany, Norway, Ireland,, UK, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Dubai etc.

Abdullah was a recipient of highly prestigious IDB International Scholarship for his Doctoral Research in the UK. He Holds Masters in Islamic Finance from University of Gloucestershire UK.

Dr. Abdullah is reviewer of Policy Research Papers for IRTI/IDB & a number of other International Academic Journals. He is a Member of Editorial Advisory Board for Sahulat Journal of Interest-Free Micro Finance, and he sits at the Advisory Board of Iportal. live (an Islamic Digital Economy Platform). Abdullah is a member of Shariah Board for MarhabaDeFi, Taqwa Invest and Shariahconsultant.org.
