Vocational Capacity Certificate (Certificat de Capacité Professionnelle – CCP)
Adults who discover or rediscover a desire to learn a trade or a profession or change their professional prospects can obtain a Vocational Capacity Certificate (Certificat de Capacité Professionnelle – CCP) through a sandwich course under an adult apprenticeship contract.
The CCP constitutes basic vocational training.
Anyone who is in employment may also acquire a CCP by the validation of non-formal and informal learning (Validation des acquis de l'expérience -
VAE).

The training proposed under an adult apprenticeship contract is structured as a sandwich course: - Training at school, in a secondary school,
- Modules within a training body to be obtained while working for the undertaking with which the applicant has concluded an apprenticeship contract. The undertaking must be authorised to train apprentices.
Adult apprentices are paid the statutory minimum wage.
Applicants for an adult apprenticeship should submit their application in person to the ADEM's Vocational Guidance Service. Applications are submitted to the consultative committee for its decision, which is notified to the applicant by post. If the decision is positive, the adult apprentice who has found a trainer undertaking contacts the ADEM's Vocational Guidance Service to be able to collect the documents required for concluding the apprenticeship contract. The adult apprenticeship contract can only be concluded between 16 July and 1 November of the apprenticeship year. Further to the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 20 June 2020 waiving Article 6 of the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 17 December 2010 on the organisation of apprenticeships for adults, the deadline of 1 November has been extended to 31 December of the apprenticeship year for 2020. | Employment agency (Agence pour le Développement de l’Emploi – ADEM)Vocational Guidance Services
