UniGR launches its new website and newsletter

Université du Luxembourg - 24/03/2017

The University of the Greater Region – UniGR – created a new design for its website and newsletter. While informing about joint activities in education and research, the UniGR website is also a tool to facilitate cross-border cooperation between the partner universities of the Greater Region.

What began in 2008 as an EU funded project (Interreg IV A Greater Region) was then further developed as a cross-border academic confederation between the universities of Luxembourg, Saarland, Kaiserslautern, Trier, Lorraine and Liège. Since November 2015, UniGR acquired its own legal status as a non-profit organisation located in Luxembourg. With the arrival of a Secretary General - Mrs. Frédérique Seidel - in September 2016 at the Central Office of UniGR located in Saarbrücken, the association marks a new step forward in the consolidation of this unique and innovative university confederation.

UniGR launches its new website and newsletter On the new website, students can inform themselves about individual mobility schemes and the various offers of the existing cross-border study programmes (leading to double or joint diploma).

Researchers may find information about services and funding opportunities for their cross-border projects. Moreover, PhD candidates can get a clear and global overview of the trainings’ offer of each partner university and learn more about how to give an international dimension to their doctorate.

The offer is completed by a news’ section and a calendar informing about events within the UniGR and the whole Greater Region area.

Along the new website, a reshaped newsletter will inform you regularly about UniGR’s activities. You can already discover the last edition in French or in German and subscribe here!
