Education for people with specific requirements

Blind or visually impaired people

As part of Adult Training, and in close collaboration with the IDV, the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth organises special courses for blind or visually impaired people, and for anyone interested or concerned.

The adult training classes are held in small groups so that it is possible to meet individual needs; they cover four different areas:

The teaching staff are particularly attentive to each participant’s initial level, and to their personal limits and handicaps.

There is no charge for the courses, which generally last 36 weeks.

Deaf people and the hard of hearing

For the hard of hearing and the deaf, the City of Luxembourg, in collaboration with Daaflux A.s.b.l., offers courses in German sign language two or three times a year.
